Once MacOS or Windows starts, everything is ok. I've noticed also that while booting in MacOS, the gray screen with the Apple logo and the loading progress bar underneath do not appear - the screen stays black, and then shows directly the MacOS desktop. If I switch it off and power it on again, then it boots to MacOS or Windows depending what I've selected from startup disk in MacOS preferences or Bootcamp preferences. I have to switch it off to exit this state. I have a Macbook pro 15" mid 2010 which works fine both with MacOS ( El-Capitan) and Windows7 (bootcamp), but when I start it up with the option key, the boot menu does not come and the screen stays black forever.
